Helena Vines Fiestas, Deputy Global Head of Sustainability at BNPP AM, joins the new Climate and Sustainable Committee of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) for a three-year renewable term. Composed of 24 members, the commission will bring multiple expertise in climate risk and sustainable finance.
This committee will be responsible for issuing recommendations to the AMF and will contribute to the work done by the regulator in collaboration with the French Prudential Supervisory and Resolution Authority (ACPR) for the monitoring and evaluation of commitments the place in terms of climate.
The appointment of Helena Vines Fiestas to the AMF is a significant recognition of BNPP AM teams’ expertise in sustainable investment and, more broadly, their commitment to responsible finance. BNPP AM is also a founding member of the PRI (1) and is part of more than 40 industry coalitions including the TCFD (2), the IIGCC (2), or the TEG (4) of the European Commission around the recent green taxonomy.
Helena Vines Fiestas, Deputy Global Head of Sustainability at BNP Paribas Asset Management, said: “I am very honored and delighted to have been chosen by the AMF to be part of this new commission on climate and sustainable finance. The creation of this group of experts is a major step forward to transition towards a more sustainable financial and economic model that requires the mobility of all and BNPP AM fully supports this initiative “.
